Is there a device to put on a automobile to check to see if something is draining a battery? I have a New battery and about once a week it is dead. I have checked all of the obvious. Alternator, voltage regulator, A light in the glove box or trunk or under the hood that is staying on but can't seem to find anything. I suspect something is on that should not be on and is slowly draining it. Help !
you can install an ammeter in line to see if you have a drain and then unplug things until you see the amps drop off. if it is a fi. vehicle then you will have some draw on the batt. for your keep alive memory. and so on for the radio but the amount is so small it would take several months of not driving to drain it.
