Where can you buy pure methanol?
I'm getting a methanol-water injection system installed in my car and I need to know where I would look for pure, undyed methanol.
Do auto parts stores have it? Performance shops? What?
I can't use windshield washer fluid because the dye will contaminate my engine.
Also, I need pure so that I can ratio it with water myself.
Pure methanol is sold in 55 gal barrels only! It is available at most petroleum distributors. Like Chevron, Shell and many others. You cant buy it at the gas station, you can only get it at the petroeum warehouses. Look in your local yellow pages for gasoline distributors or oil distributors. I buy it for the sprint car at conservancy oil. But this is new mexico>
