can i weld a steel elbow to attach a turbo to the stock manifold?
i was wondering that instead of installing a completely new turbo manifold for a carburated engine ...can i weld a durable steel elbow to link the stock one to the turbo i mean one side having a T3 flange and the other end fitting the manifold ???? can it endure 6-7 psi of boost?
Welding to cast iron is tricky and needs a very experienced welder to accomplish. Your best bet would be to flip the manifolds upside down and weld up some tubing that will bolt up to the manifold and that has the t3/t4 bracket welded to the other side.
