why would a throttle get stuck on a dirtbike?
one day i rode my friends bike and the throttle got stuck wide open. the actual throttle that you turn with your hand did not get stuck, it still moved back and forth but the rpm was revving to the moon and would not stop. how could the throttle on a dirtbike get stuck like that?
It's called lack of maintenance, usually this occurs when the cable has not been lubed and it gets stuck in the housing, rust is the most common cause of stuck or broken cables. Next is the dirt in the slide, and this comes from the same thing, lack of proper maintenance. My thought on this, don't ride this friends bike anymore!!! I see something ugly coming and trips to the ER are not fun!!!
